Thanks to the generosity of the families and individuals who support Dylan's Run, the Autism Society of Southeastern Wisconsin is able to continue our mission: Our Mission is to support people with Autism Spectrum Disorders, their families, professionals, and others, by sharing information, supporting research, providing networking opportunities and promoting awareness through education and training.

Specific project that have been supported by Dylan's Run funds include:

  • Research carried out at the University of Wisconsin's Waisman Center.

  • A partnership between the Medical College of Wisconsin Department of Child Psychiatry and the Autism Society, to have Autism and Asperger specialists present workshops to residents and other interested medical professionals who want more information.

  • The Organization for Autism Research (OAR) - funding for applied research focused on how to help individuals with autism who are here today. See this article.

  • Support for programs carried out by the Autism Society to support families right here in Southeastern Wisconsin, including our Parenting Workshops, teacher training, and conferences.

  • Support for graduate students doing educational research to help students with autism spectrum disorders be successful in school.
